True blood..

One interesting phenomena in the Seychelles fauna is the Fruitbat or Flying Fox. Pteropus Seychellensis.

An important species for the ecosystems in the islands. The bat is big as a seagull, and you see them flying around all over also at day time. They are hunted for their meat by some of the locals.

About the catchy Halloween title…no worries, they only eat fruit and flower nectar.  The pic is taken in Praslin island in February 2012 and turned upside down

Me and my dogs

Cityparty “Kulturkalaset” in Gothenburg, August 2012. Loud concert at Götaplatsen, thousand of spectators… the dogs doesn´t seem to mind.

Cuddle me eyes..

This cutie is the  chairman of the local flea market in Alto do Poio, Galicia. Staying for a rest and a beer we enjoyed the company of the lovesick puppy for a while.

It seemed a bit itchy though??  Buen camino woff woff..

Whale shark habitat!

The season for watching Whale Sharks in the Seychelles is from August to the end of October with some variations..  If you go another period of the year there are other interesting stuff to see as well. I promise!

Lunch anyone?

Victor has been a fisherman all his life. I go visit him when I am around at the place where he always hangs out, the fishermen marina close to the mouth of river Almendares in Havana.

Albania The Land of Eagles!

A friend brought me to this place with caves and rocks and all the ingredients that makes a perfect beach! Before I could say woooow she climbed up and without hesitation threw herself out .

The eagle? well I put it there just for fun!  (PS)

10 of July a little bit south of Saranda,  Shqipëri

Este hotel…

  tiene pulgas. ..

When travelling South America some decades ago my budget allowed me to stay only in cheap hotels.

Once I made a visit to Cajamarca in the Andes in northern Peru. Arrived late at night.

As usual I checked in at one of the less luxurious places and fell asleep almost immediately.
Next morning the andean light fell in trough that window, and I saw the graffiti !!

Este hotel tiene pulgas: This hotel has got fleas…

Blue eye!

Catch the beautiful mountain road from Saranda at the Albanian coast towards Gjirokaster some 25km. Blue eye, “Syri i Kalter”  consists of  totally 18 crystal clear springs pouring right out from the ground. The dragonfly that´s posing for me has put on a suitable blue dress for the occasion.

What´s for dinner today?

This was a peculiar dog that absolutely refused to enter the kitchen in this farmhouse in Viñales/Cuba.  The other dog of the house was on the other hand constantly running in and out of the same room.

So he had his window where he looked in every now and then with that kind of hungry look on his face!  In the background you see tobacco plants, very common in this region of Cuba.
