Catch the beautiful mountain road from Saranda at the Albanian coast towards Gjirokaster some 25km. Blue eye, “Syri i Kalter” consists of totally 18 crystal clear springs pouring right out from the ground. The dragonfly that´s posing for me has put on a suitable blue dress for the occasion.

Falemenderi shumë Albania!
If you are the demanding, inflexible type that needs perfect service and everything up to date.. go somewhere else.
But if you like smiles and welcomes that comes from the heart this is the place to go.
peaceful, secure, relaxed, fantastic landscapes, good food, a thriving national culture and such a lovely people!
(I know there are complications…. drugs, corruption etcetera. I am just giving my 14 days first impression here!)
Thank you very much Albania… Valentina, Erisa, Nick, Silvana and many more!
Hot Albanian riviera!
In the heat of July you only have a couple of escape options. One is to stay in the air condition zone and the other of course is to jump into the crystal clear Meditirranean sea.
I can recommend Ksamili south of Saranda.
Also The International Mermaid Watch Association IMWA have recently reported observations of that rare species in this part of Albania!
Think I was lucky… saw something down there!
Towards Victoria!
Playa del Este, Cuba!

One of the highlights on my two-week visit at the Seychelles was the dive at the Ave Maria rock! You´ll see it as the silhouette island in one of the images.
It was me, the dive master and three french doctors who had arrived from La Reunion to do some sailing around the Seychelles archipelago on board an impressive catamaran. So I was in good hands..
Ave Maria is a granite rock that offers some nice diving conditions. White tip reef sharks are often spotted around here. The variety of life is astonishing as you can see on the images.
One of the interesting creatures we encountered was the Scorpionfish. It´s much like a chameleon. It is also very venomous, so don’t provoke! I have enhanced the fish sharpness and contrast and as you see it’s still hard to discover. Clue: you find the eyes at the lower part of photo.
After the visit to the underworld the french divers were a little disappointed for not having seen any sharks despite of my bleeding leg!! (collision with some corrals)
Bonus YouTube film from Seychelles Thank you Cinicas.
All photos taken with Canon Powershot S-100 with UW-house. This was my second visit under water with a camera. It´s tricky!
