The combination of tobacco-leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region in western Cuba and skillful hands at this factory in central Havana produces the best cigars in the world. Aristocrat, Corona, Partagas, Presidente.. Havana, Cuba 1996.

..could not even give it a rest while getting a haircut at this not so fancy hairdresser saloon in Havana.
I was anyway pleased with the result when I stepped out of the establishment at Calle 23. January 28. 2008

Life in Viñales
A simple day-to-day struggle, working their own small plantation. Not many material belongings.. they have each other.
As you can see this is not a planned family portrait. Otherwise the working outfit would have been replaced!

Ship building
The ship-building business is a traditional industry in Gothenburg. Structural change in the global economy ended this some 50 years ago. Still there are some smaller ship building yards left on the Hisingen side of the river. Picture from August 22. 2012
