One day at the beach!

A Dominican family of three generations having lots of fun at playa Rincon. Samaná/ Dominican Republic

Entering Jarabacoa!

In comparison to the previous horse this one looks radiant and healthy.  People in rural Dominican Republic (and many Latin American places) are almost born in the saddle and it looks so elegant and easy..  Now me on the other hand after a couple of kilometers…!!??

Admiring my Foppatofflor!

These are branded shoes initially bought in Dominican Republic, converted to bathing shoes in Sweden and finally field tested successfully somewhere between Africa and India.

Foppa is the nick name of the Swedish hockey star Peter Forsberg

Living in Barrio Simon Bolívar!

One of the poorest parts of Santo Domingo named after the liberation hero Simon Bolívar.

The president’s wife is leading a project in the area. The most visible change has been paintings of sunflowers on the walls of some houses!

Reds!

I have had green and blue themes. So lets play with red this time.

Going to El Paraíso!

South west of Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic you will find Barahona and the beautiful winding road along the coast line. It passes by El Paraíso and Enriquillo. You can discover unique places like Bahia de las Aguilas. Keep going and you end up in Haiti!

Dominican future!

Normally I avoid taking pictures of “cute kids” but this one I just could not resist.  The proud mother is the owner of the small hotel in Samaná, Dominican Republic where we stayed a couple of nights!

A bird in the hand!

is worth two in the bush.. ( I think he actually has got four in both hands)  outside  Catedral Primada de América in Santo Domingo.
