A pro-regime manifestation and also a bonus night for those inclined to pyromania … be careful out there!
Havana 2008.
In the island of La Digue in the Seychelles, a woman dressed in the local tourist-company uniform started to chat with me at the guesthouse where I stayed.
She was a likeable person and I recalled having taken a picture of a younger woman (see above) with the same uniform as the one she had, which I told her.. Let me see it she said. I showed it to her and her instant comment was “it´s my daughter”.
From yesterdays birthday party and the youngest 80-year-old that I know.
A phenomena that is growing, second-hand, flea market or “loppis” as it´s called in Sweden. For a street photographer its a tempting environment. These pics are from today and another occasion a month ago. Post number 300 on this blog that started in September a year ago, Well done Håkan!
Cebreiro in Galicia lies at an altitude of 1300 meters. 8-9 of September every year there is a catholic ceremony at the church in honor of the Virgin Mary. The Gallegos gather from all over the region for the event. Some arrives for religious reasons but many takes it as an excuse to party.. and oh my, they know how to party!
We arrived after a tough climb of 30 kilometers to Cebreiro conveniently the 8 of September.
The walk is over for this time, back home now, but still got a bunch of pictures worth showing.
You meet a lot of interesting people along the Camino de Santiago.
This 87-year-old Peruvian lady is walking “El Camino” with her daughter and granddaughter. At this place, close to Sarria in Galicia, they still have more than 100 km to do!
The picture was taken the 11 of September. Me and Katja arrived to Santiago last night after an exhausting final distance of 36 km.
