Muévete con Manolito!

One of Cubas best salsa “timba style” groups, Manolito y su Trabuco back again in Gothenburg. the band played last night at Kungstorget. And they gave, as always, nothing less than 200% of pure Cuban energy in their performance!

Way out smoked!

The WOW ( Way Out West) music festival in Gothenburg had a “meat free” concept this year!

Outside the fence the sinners where plenty though. This guy is trying a combination of barbecue and smoking!

May I suggest for next year “litter free”   Photo from 11 of august 2012

Tons of willpower in a nice package!

Albanian energy!

Taking a zip before entering the stage at this big cultural event in Saranda, southern Albania the last days of june 2012.

She wears the typical costume from here region and shortly she will perform some dances before the jury and national television. Lots of nerves, serious stuff!

After two weeks in Albania the dim prejudice I had about the country has changed dramatically in a positive way!

If you are the demanding, inflexible type that needs perfect service and everything up to date.. go somewhere else.

But if you like smiles and welcomes that comes from the heart this is the place to go.

peaceful, secure, relaxed, fantastic landscapes, good food, a thriving national culture and such a lovely people!

(I know there are complications…. drugs, corruption etcetera. I am just giving my 14 days first impression here!)

Thank you very much Albania…     Valentina, Erisa, Nick, Silvana and many more!

Pedro reflecting on…

If these guys really have the capacity to learn guaganco/rumba? Pedro is a well known Cuban rumba dancer and that particular day he had been hired for a private lesson in Vedado/Havana.
