Got a screw loose?

Cuba visitors smile and recognize the scene. The pre-revolutionary US type wrecks is kept running with the help of Cuban ingenuity and spare parts from all kind of cars Russian, Korean, Japanese… you name it.

Caribbean dream

Isla Mujeres, Yucatan Mexiko. Take the ferry from the mainland to this quiet little island not far from Cancun. (That´s my daughter Kajsa standing at the palm tree admiring the sunset)

If you feel like more adventures you can go by motorboat further out in the Gulf of Mexico to Isla Contoy National Park, a rare unspoilt bird protection island .

Treasure island

It´s not uncommon to see persons with metal detectors in Cuba and actually they score quite often.  This is Playa del Este, east of Havana. I´m not sure the instrument indicated a hit on this spot..

One angry bird

From the Christmas day cock-fight at a hard to find place somewhere behind the Mogotes mountains in Viñales, Cuba.

And.. yes I know it´s a messy, cruel phenomena just like bullfights or any other activity that includes tormenting animals.

Winter´s coming

I regularly walk or run along this creek. Those who follow my blog have seen images from this place representing different seasons… this one would be the final sign of the autumn 2012.

Änggårdsbergen, Gothenburg.

By the way, be careful with your compact camera in humid places. Mine gave up completely a week ago perhaps for being a bit over ambitious along this creek.
